These monitors are considered to be the best monitors with light-emitting diodes because of their design. The main drawback is the fact that companies are not producing this type of monitors very often. Most series are limited and the number of them is small on the market. In most cases, they are more expensive than Edge-Lit LEDs.
By design, as their name suggests, led diodes are placed evenly behind the entire surface area of the screen. Thanks to this, they produce uniform backlight. Because of that fact, the local dimming is more effective so just part of the area can be illuminated while other parts may be black.
